Re: LED Lights
There's two ways of doing this u can add a spare 12v batt or u can just connect across two of the batteries to equal 12v (assuming u have 6v batt) just remember to not ground to the frame always go back to the neg post of the batteries. Use ur DVM to find 12v across any two batts

Re: LED Lights
I hope this isn't hijacking, but I would like to know how bright they are? Can they be used for driving lights? I'm guessing, but should work with a voltage reducer?

Re: LED Lights
There are LED's out there you can use as driving lights but they aren't cheap, search for off road LED driving lights. a voltage reducer works great make sure u get one to handle all the amperage u will be using. LEDs use very little but if u add a radio then an amp it climbs up pretty quick. I just added a spare battery and I charge it with a separate charger. I have run the radio late in the evening and it still is going strong and that way I don't have to worry about running my road batts down.

Re: LED Lights
I get my light pods from Joe Florida. He sells on ebay and his products are at least as good as anyone else. Takes about 2 days to get them to me. I currently have 40 lights in 8 pods on the cart. I use 6 light and 4 light pods but he sells strips and sigles too. I run mine off of an AGM motorcycle battery kept under the seat. Based upon the use so far, I am certain the setup could handle another 10 or 12 pods without an issue.

I'm not sure if this is Florida or another I have purchased from. I have received good service from both and these are the pods I use. Run them through a two pole toggle and a 15 amp fuse on the positive side and you'll be good. |
