Default 3 wheel ezgo

I have a older electric 3 wheel ezgo golf cart, I believe it's a 1980,
When I push the gas pedal it sparks on the speed control swiper, between the
First and second copper stud. Everything is tight and wires look good. Could someone please solve my problem.

Broken resistor coil(s) or bad connection at the coil or cable, look closely

If that doesn't pan out, you might want to remove and inspect the wiper assembly. It could be worn (or dirty) to the point that it needs some attention.

Wiper assembly looks good, change out coil and still sparks
I guess I'll start replacing cables.

Where specifically are the sparks coming from? Is it from the contacts themselves, or somewhere else? Does the buggy run fine other than just some sparks?

Does it spark just a little, or BIG? Does it spark continuously, or just when you are moving the throttle up and down?

Sparking between the first and second copper stud, it sparks continuously kinda like some one welding, I release the pedal when I see the arc, so don't know what it does at full speed, but stays arcing for a little while after I release pedal. When I first noticed it I had the positive post was melted down.
