That buzzer is really annoying, but for safety, it would be best if you just muffle it by putting foam tape (or something similar) over the buzzer's sound hole. The buzzer is behind the dash and probably requires that you drill out some rivets to get to it. If you do manage to get to it, and decide you want to disconnect it, just pull off the wires.
