Default loud thump

I recently bought a 1998 bombardier and I notice a lound thump when going over small bumps. I replCED SHOCKS And check that batteries and charger are tied down. anyone else have this problem? I also live on a mountain course and notice that nev does not have enough torque to go up 15-20 percent grades. any cure?

Where did you buy the shocks and how much?
My understanding is it's a snowmobile shock?
Thanks,

You can check the rear axle mounting bolts to see if they are loose. That will let the axle shift on the springs. + take a look at the spring mountings. You may have worn bushings!

The bushings in the shock ends turned to powder.
I am looking for a replacement shock as Peacock is so expensive.

I have the same issue and discovered that my differential/motor are raising up in the front part when I push on the go peddle and hitting the frame. I looked up this in my parts, but am unable to understand the mounting. It appears that all is bolted to the differential front bracket, but unable to tell if that setup is on the new brackets sold at Peacock. The pictures show that the bracket has threaded holes, but doesn't show a stud or bolt to go in it to hold the anti-vibration shock, washer and nut. Anyone familiar? I haven't broken down all involved because the car runs great other then the loud thump every time I start to move. I tried to post a picture, but was unable to.
