Default 94 G9 repair

Hi all, new here, certainly a wealth of information on this site will no doubt spend hours reading, but to my problem, have picked up 94 cart and looks like never been touched, first problem what is best way to remove all the years of crap that has settled on the plastic surfaces, tried car wash and polish and light cutting compound by no luck, any ideas?
Also found some slight cracks appearing on drive clutch dust cover, is this a sign of major repair? Thanks.

Welocome to BGW You can use a high pressure washer even a scotch brite pad and comet with bleach, but you'll lose and "sheen". Do you plan on painting it or just clean it up? Crack's in the primary clutch cover means 1 or more weights are broken and I highly recommend changing all 3, but true OEM Yamaha weights are expensive. Site sponsors have aftermarket weights, but I have no experiance with them, so can't comment about them. Could be the weights were all ready changed, but they didn't change the damaged cap. Lets see some pictures.

Thanks for that info, was going to clean up first and see how it comes up if not to good then will look at painting, with regards clutch will try and get photo's next week, cart is still used for golf and is housed at golf club.
Looking to bring cart home in the next few months (after a few more golf games) to strip down and see what needs to be done, have already replaced air and fuel filters.
