ezgo motor bolts which is which?
I have a 95 ezgo medalist series cart. My question is which of the 4 bolts on the motor control forward and which controls reverse?

Re: ezgo motor bolts which is which?
All of them are used in both directions.
The difference between forward and reverse is the relative direction of current flow between the armature and stator (aka field) windings. If your cart has a series would motor, the direction of current flow through the stator windings is controlled by a high current switch connected to the direction selector lever. If you have a DCS cart (sepex motor) the direction of current flow through the stator windings is controlled withing the speed controller, which is told what to do by a low current switch connected to the direction selector lever. |
