Default Ezgo 2007 txte series no go

I have a 2007 ezgo TXTE date code f1107 I believe it's a series will not run the resistor on the bottom of the solenoid is getting extremely hot with the key turned off or on please help attached is a picture of the controller

you said you THINK its a series cart.....is the F&R a handle by your knee? and if you look under the seat that handle is connected to a rod that goes over to the F&R Switch, which is directly in front of your controller?

The handle is by the knee and connected to a rod that runs to the passenger side to the forward and reverse control

That is a series cart. A hot resistor is usually a sign the solenoid has failed. To test it you will need to disconnect one of the main battery wires then remove the wires from one side of the solenoid and disconnect the resistor on that side. Now put the other wires back on and with the cart on stands, key on, forward selected and pedal pushed, do you get 36+ volts on both sides of the main lugs of the solenoid. If no, it is bad
