It is a step down reducer from 16-12v.

Re: electrical accessory issue
Scotty,
Do these voltage reducers give intermittent fails like I'm dealing with here? |

Re: electrical accessory issue
That box you are talking about, the one in the picture, IS NOT A REDUCER. That is a fuse box. Open the cover, and you will find 3 fuses in there.
The fat red wire is the feed to the fuse block, and the small wires are the load wires, on the other side of the fuses. A 3/8" socket will fit the two nuts that hold the cover down. |

Re: electrical accessory issue
Thank you, Shoe. when the cart comes back around my way I'll pop that cover and see if I've got a bad connection in there. On a side note, there should be a voltage reducer somewhere on this cart, correct? Or are all the accessories running on 16 volts?

Re: electrical accessory issue
If you have a factory reducer, this is where it is located :
Standing On the driver side of cart,, look behind the battery that is on your far right ( closest to the motor). Look down at the frame rail, and you will see a box that is tucked inside the web of the frame rail. It is about 10" long and about 3" wide. It should have a wire coming out of the end of it ( towards front of cart), and that wire should be going to a metal "junction" point." That junction point is for the negative wires that go to your accessories. |

Re: electrical accessory issue
That's it. It actually reduces the negative.
