Default LED lighting question........

I am thinking about adding LED/accessory lights to my 06 Club Car Precedent! My question is, do I need a voltage reducer or should I wire them to my existing running lights? I want a switch to be able to run all or some of the lights. My cart is a 48 volt (4 X 12). TIA

The best thing to do would be get a 48-12v reducer, but with LEDs and their minuscule amp draw, it wouldn't be as big of a deal like if they were incandescent. How many lights are you wanting to run, and are you planning on adding any more accessories?

I have an inverter used to power my head & running lights. I actually installed a separate battery to run my LEDs & stereo which has work out great. Placed a switch for each on the dash.

Just a few under the dash to give me a little light, probably no more than two 12 inch strands , if that long!

I installed a voltage reducer on my newer cart. I run all of my accessories through it, including my LEDs. It is an easy install.
