Default Front Stut Help

This site has helped me so much with my cart thanks for all your help!

Now for the next issue. I have a 1998 EZGO TXT I just bought the five panel mirror for it and it seems wide for the strut, then I noticed the strut sits inside the roof sides about 2 inches on each side. I can make the mirror work but I am getting ready to order a windshield for it and have my doubts about the fit.

I measured down 3 inches from the top of the strut where it gets straight and the width from outside to outside is 38.25 inches. Also when looking at it from the front both sides tapper in at the top.

Is this correct for my cart?

My struts (original OEM) are 38.5" from outside to outside measured at the top. The struts are wider at the bottom. 5panel mirror is 34". Windshield (OEM) is about 39.25". The windshield is actually slightly wider than the struts because the struts taper out a little from top to bottom but the windshield is straight. Flip windshield in my case. Use the angle iron brackets for the mirror (90°) for easiest mount and the most stable connection. less shake.

Did you hear the big "pop"? It was the sound of my head coming out. After further review with my wife and several Dos Equis all is correct. Sorry for wasting time.

No problem-- Instructions for that mirror kit are less than terrific .

Good luck and stick with it !!
