I read through all 40+ pages of those threads and yes it was scary. Thanks for the input hitechredneck. It was raining all today so didnt have a chance to take any pictures. I will tomorrow and will see what I am working with.

I will also GPS the speed to see where its at. I guess I should let the 4 trojans in there go till they are dead? then upgrade which everyone is suggesting. Thats a bummer, 4 batteries seemed easier.

A lot of those threads were about the watering issues. Is there some system setup to auto fill all the batteries? Or Should I just be opening and filling with distilled water on each of them to some 'fill' line? How often are you supposed to do this? I have had 3 golf carts and never did this (opps).

Where is the solenoid located so I can try and check if its old version or not?

Solenoid is just above the controller, under the mysterious black cover with the run/maintainence switch. If it has 4 terminals on top (2 large, 2 small), it is newer style. If it has 2 terminals and 2 small wires with no terminals its old-style. You really should be checking your battery water, fill just above the "plates" that are down in the cell holes, best to fill when fully charged. If you fill up into the ring at the top, expect a acid mess next charge. If you can stand the task of filling yourself, avoid the auto fill tube systems (and auto fill jugs sold online, they overfill), nothing better for your batteries than you visually seeing that water is present above the plates.

I suggest at least twice a month CHECKING them, they should rarely be low enough to need any distiled water added. After a short time checking/watering them, you will get a feel for what they need based on your usage. Here is what you should be seeing.

Took the golf cart out on GPS today, and i felt like I was flying but according to gps only 14.2 mph. Cant imagine what 19.5mph will feel like. I guess I will have to find a dealer to program the speed.
