I don't actually hate LED bar-graph meters, in fact I prefer them for VU meters in audio applications.

I prefer a DVM type battery meter for monitoring pack voltage and I prefer analog meters (Expanded scale) for "Fuel" gauges for the less technically inclined.

That is true, but if i put a volt meter on every retirees cart around here, the confusion and mis-understanding of what it meant would cause me to look for a new line of work.

We "like" the factory "gas" gauge for Electric RXV's.

It provides little troubleshooting help and almost nothing of technical value.

However it does give folks a good idea whether they are going to be able to make it to
the clubhouse or pool and back.

Just saying -- everybody is not a tech.....
