Default EZGo PDS TXT Cowl removal

I bought a used 2004 txt that included a dashboard Pioneer radio.
I have no idea of the radio model and need to remove it for repair.

One suggestion I read was to remove the front cowl rather than the dash to expose the radio.

I have no idea what is involved in removing the cowl and need instructions or a clue as to where to find the same (instructions).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

do you gave a aftermarket dash if so should be a few screws. removing front cowl seems like the wrong way to go

There are rivets that hold the cowl in place, there is also one located at the bottom of each side of the cowl under the rocker panels. Depending if the cart has been ever taken apart before there is a flat splash guard underneath which is held by body plugs, and you will need to undo the fasteners by the name badge. Once you have this done it will give you more access to secure your radio in place. Take a look at some builds here on the forum and you should be able to get a better idea of what you need to do.

Radio should come out without removing the cowl unless they bolted it down in the back. If you dont have the removal tools, sometimes a hacksaw blade slid in on the side will release the locks to pull it out..
