2006 ds will not move after crossing over motor
I was installing a back flip seat kit this afternoon. I did not disconnect batteries. Did not think would be an issue.
I dropped wrench on top of the motor and crossed the green and orange wires on top of the motor. Now it will not move. The solenoid appears to be good. I tested both sides. I also tested the green and orange with meter and getting 48v there also. So obviously fried something. OBC? Controller? Please help! |

I'm not positive what you fried, but this will probably serve as a lesson to ALWAYS put the cart in tow mode and disconnect battery positive and negative.

You might have let the smoke out of the controller.

Controller is toast. Expensive mistake there. Remember to always disconnect the batteries from now on.

Re: 2006 ds will not move after crossing over motor
Well now you've opened up a whole new conversation.....
IF you are replacing the controller anyway, why not upgrade and get an Alltrax 400 or 500 amp controller. 2 gauge cables and a new motor for speed and torque..... |

The "accident" sure makes a compelling argument to upgrade if a wife/girlfriend objects,,,,

Controller is damaged. No doubt about it. Perfect time to get an Alltrax.
