Default Going with 14" rims vs 10" need torque advice

Ok I've got a 2007 club car precedent and going to 14" with a lift block from Madajax I think. Currently I have stock controller with upgraded motor, speed is fine flat and flys down hill but pretty slow up hill with 10" regular street tires. My question is how much am I going to lose with the bigger tires/rim? What can I do to at least keep the same tongue? How much do you gain with cable size increase, would it be enough? I've done the older Alltrax/DCX controller and after 3 new Mcors completely gave up the jerky jerky was just to much and not fun to drive, have they fixed it with their new one? Thanks in advance

Thats a LOT of questions and since each answer would effect the results of the component, the best thing I can say is cable and solenoid upgrade is easy and will make a slight difference (IQ carts are pretty good), but if you want complete control and the torque power you seek, the Alltrax XCT-48500 for IQ carts is the best of the best. That is a 500 amp version. They make smaller 300 & 400 amps too.

And if you have a 4 seater or do any hills, steep inclines, etc., you will need to upgrade your controller to give you what you seek.

You will see a lot of people have gone to the XCT controllers and are more than happy. Check out the site sponsors here as I know Revolution (David Hicks) and Carts Unlimited (scottyb) handle these for the best prices and they can make you a package deal customized to your needs.

Rim size is meaningless. What is the overall diameter of the new vs. the old tires? I went to 12" rims with the exact same diameter and did not change top speed or acceleration. You also don't say what your upgraded motor is. Higher speed?
