Default Couple of problems with the cart

I have a 48v club car. My 48v reducer seems to be abnormally hot to the touch. And my headlights have stopped working. Is it normal for the reducer to be hot to the touch?? Could this be the cause of the headlights not working?? Any advice appreciated
Thank tou

They do get hot, but I bet you it is the fuse or a faulty headlight switch holding them out. Quick and easy check to find out....

If the fuse is good and the switch proves good, then take your meter and check the output of your reducer.

Check the headlight switch. I've replaced several on my older cart.
