I did a direct part number conversion, ordered two of them and it came in with a smaller bore and the OD of the cylinder was smaller. I will let you know if I find any at a reasonable price.

You have been busy, all the resisters, and Solenoids were still good?

I have a pretty nice 36 volt CC charger that I got with my Caroche/Vanguard. If you are staying with 36 volt and are interested let me know. I can send pictures after July 8th.

If your buddy wants a vintage look, you could always go with quad diagonal headlights like the 62 Chrysler Newport.

Yes, the Vanguard has 4 headlights, and I think they are 7". And I really like those LED's, just not crazy about the price.

But when it is time I will upgrade. I have the perfect excuse, one of the old incandescent sealed beams is burnt out.
