Adjusting CC DS Accelerator
I've been having some trouble with my motor opening up to full throttle I just installed a new mcor, but I have to push the accelerator over 4 inches to get the mcor to "click" and engage. How do I properly set this? Thank you for the help

Re: Adjusting CC DS Accelerator
this is a good question. the MCOR is supposed to manage throttle/accelerator interaction as it is all electric. perhaps the MCOR slipped out of position when you installed it? otherwise I'd look a the foot pedal assembly and see if something has worn out....

Re: Adjusting CC DS Accelerator
Are You sure what You are hearing is the MCOR micro-switch and not the Solenoid?
Put the cart in neutral when you test it to make sure it is not the Solenoid. |

Re: Adjusting CC DS Accelerator
With the cart in Neutral the only "click" sound will be from the MCOR as the Solenoid will not activate.

Re: Adjusting CC DS Accelerator
Yep. I'm definitely hearing the MCOR and then later what I assume is the Solenoid? The Solenoid is a louder click

Re: Adjusting CC DS Accelerator
So You push the pedal over 4" before the MCOR clicks and how much further before the Solenoid clicks?

Re: Adjusting CC DS Accelerator
Thanks to you all. I found the problems I was having were the result of wear on the accelerator linkage arm. I used some 1/4" ID braided tubing around the forward most fork of the MCOR arm. Immediately I got my torque and acceleration back. Total cost: $0.39
My only question... how do I know if I'm now "opening" the throttle at 100%? Is there an easy test that doesn't involve a scanner or similar on the controller? For the record, Dave Hicks (TahoeDawg) from Revolution was really helpful. I ended up ordering all the new replacement parts for my accelerator - all parts new cost about $40. |
