1996 regen ?
1996 48v Club Car Ser# A9646-543551 , regen braking is so strong when you let off the go pedal tire skids then slows to almost a stop. Is this programmable in the controller or is it a symptom of something else gone/going wrong?
I looked in the stickies and didn't see wiring diagram for 96 regen CC. what year did CC come out with regen brake system? |

Re: 1996 regen ?
Regen brake is not that strong, but that is what happens when you by-pass the Dynamic brake solenoid (the one with the resistor coil) and leave the speed sensor connected.
You can disconnect the speed sensor from the end of the motor (just unplug it) and the cart will go faster without any Regen and/or Dynamic brake. If You have not by-passed the Dynamic Brake solenoid on purpose, it is stuck closed. |

Re: 1996 regen ?
Once again you nailed it. The solenoid had been bypassed and the coil removed. So unplugged the speed sensor and all is well.
Thanks again |
