Wheel and tire options for ezgo rxv
I'm new to BGW and new to golf cart ownership.
I just ordered a 2013 EZGO RXV and I plan to use it primarily for golf but some road use as well. I want to upgrade the wheels and tires but I don' want a lift kit and I don't want the tires to protrude outside of the wheel well. I am leaning toward a 10" rime because I want more tire/ cushion when on the golf course. What do you all recommend in terms of wheel/ tire size and offset? I need some help here. Thanks! |

Re: Wheel and tire options for ezgo rxv
well since you said you don't want to lift it....your stock tires are about 18" in diameter, so with NO LIFT, the tallest you can go without rubbing anything, seeing as you want to keep the tires inside the wheel wells, is about 20" tall tires.
oh and btw.....CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy. oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

20" tops stick with a turf or highway style tire to improve ride.

I ran 21" VX tires with Locker wheels from EZ-Go. Had to put a 2' longer shackle in the rear and trim some of the rear bumper in the fender well but they tucked in nicely. With the Freedom code it ran low 20s..

So you did not have any problems with rubbing when turning or with any weight on the rears? Just curious i will have to say i really like the way they filled out the wheel wells.

Had to trim the bumper plastic away at the back and sides on the frame rails but nothing in the front.

Re: Wheel and tire options for ezgo rxv
That really makes a good looking ride just a little hint of gas monkey with oversize tires.

Kgsc, I got 21" vx tires. Different rims, and thought that they would fit my stock rxv, but the rear tires rub. Where did you get the shackle? And where does it go? Thanks!
