Default real simple and quick question

I have 2002 TXT that I converted to 48v.

Can I simply change the sb50 plug end on the new 48v charger to the old Powerwise D-style to fit my receptacle?

Yes.

Just make sure to get the polarity correct.
Black wire is Negative and White wire is Positive.

In AC wiring? I thought it was the other way around. Not trying to contradict, just trying to learn.

ac does not have a negative or a positive. it does have a neutral and a hot or multiple hots (phases) we use white as a neutral which happens to be the grounded conductor. but it is not a negative.

In AC wiring, from the distribution panel, the Identified conductor (neutral) is White, earth ground is Green or Green with Yellow stripe and the other colors are hot wires. In residential house wiring, it is allowable to use a white wire for the switched leg of a light circuit.

While DC wiring is not codified (IE: NEC) like AC wiring is, from/to the power source, the Black wire tends to be negative and White or Red tends to be positive. In DC control wiring, the negative wire tends to be Black, but can be any color, just like positive wires.

Of course, it is best to measure with a voltmeter to be sure.

Thanks guys! Building Construction was my best subject in school, but I always hated wiring. Framing is more my style.
