These axle's act just like a vehicle when you pick it off the ground, you spin the wheel on one side and the other will spin the opposite. Try this while like putting something on the other side to keep it from spinning, if it still spins then that's the side is stripped, if not try the other way.

It will work. The axle is a limited slip, that is why you can lift one wheel and get it to turn even though the other is on the ground.

yeah, but. What he is saying is chock one wheel and if the other turns it is striped? Am I reading it wrong? That's what i get from that post?

basically, he could pull a drum and inspect the splines...... they are pretty obvious when stripped... I would do the passenger side first.....

That's what it was,but is was on the drivers side.

Good deal, Make sure to get a TxT electric drum. There are a few different ezgo drums .... and always make sure you are stopped before reversing direction.

And properly torque the retaining nut...

Torque to 120 ft. lb., if the nut does not line up with the cotter pin hole, tighten until it does and install a new cotter pin.. DO NOT loosen to line up the cotter pin hole..
