87 Textron rear suspension noise
We recently were given an 87 Textron. When stopping there is noise coming from the rear of the cart. It sounds like an old beat up jalopee(sp?) A friend recomended putting oil on the leaf springs and leaf spring-bushing wish we did and no help.
The noise is not grinding, squeaking breaks but more like shocks going back and forth making an er-er-er-er sound. When the cart is sitting still I can push up and down on the cart and it will not make a noise. It only seems to happen when coming to a stop. Please give me an idea of what to do to solve this noise issue. Thanks!! |

Re: 87 Textron rear suspension noise
If it only does it when stopping, pull the brake drums and take a look at the shoes.. If it's never had the brakes relined, a 1987 model is more than likely due for a new set of shoes by now..
