New - Please Help
I recently purchased a 2003 EZGO cart. It is lifted with larger tires. It is a 36 volt system. I cannot determine what model/series it is. It has the F/R handle mounted below the seat. It does not have a run/tow switch. With this being said, I have to assume it is a "Fleet" Cart. The cart runs fine and the speed is decent, but it has no more torque. When it comes to a slight incline, the cart slows down drastically. It goes very slow in the grass. On flat ground paved surface, the speed is good but takes a little while to get there. Does anyone have an idea of what model cart I might have and if there is anything I can do to give it more torque?
Thanks! |

Thanks! Do you have any ideas on the torque? I am trying to get by with out converting to a 48 volt system or purchasing a new motor.

What year are your batteries? If they are old you may need to start there.

I have a 1995 TXT medalist Series cart 36v that is the same way. If i upgrade to a 400a controller and a HD f/r switch will they be compatible if later i want to upgrade to 48v?

Re: New - Please Help
I think it depends on what controller you go with but my Alltrax 500 amp was on my 36 volt and I changed to 48 volt. Works great!

Re: New - Please Help
I have not looked for the age of the batteries, but I will tomorrow. If I have trouble, how do I determine the age?

Try searching for "battery date" and then read something like this: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ow-answer.html |
