Purple Motor
Can anyone give an honest answer as to what to expect from a PQ bandit motor only ???The cart is a 99 Txt series,36v,lifted,22s,back seat and roof. It's slow has no tork,we are working with limited funds and the bandit price is good if I had any idea of what to expect.I know you get what you pay for,but I have done full conversions(motor,alltrax,4ga,hd contactor,hd f&r)and found them to be much less performance then advertised..Thanx for any opinions.Dave

Re: Purple Motor
Are you staying with the stock 275 amp controller?

Re: Purple Motor
My buggies speed went from 14 MPH to 20 MPH with the PQ motor(I upgraded to 4 gauge wires also). I did not notice any torgue difference, but at the time all I did was run on flat roads. The people at PQ are good people, I called several times before I decide. I shipped my motor on Monday, I had it back on Friday.

Re: Purple Motor
That's going to be a limiting factor in performance regardless of what results you get. The motor will always be performing within the controller limits....

Re: Purple Motor
davet, my brother's cart is almost identical to yours and when we put in a bandit we picked up 2-3 mph and some more torque. Scottyb is correct that the controller is going to be the limiting factor. May be better to go with a bigger controller first.. We did the motor first on ours because I was already there picking up mine and bought his, ie no shipping. My 2 cents

Re: Purple Motor
Thanx Guys for the replys, sent the motor to PQ yesterday,Rick at PQ said to expect 20% increase in speed and tork and for this cart that would be a huge improvement. If the customer gets 20% from this he'll go on to controller 4 ga and HD components. In this economy it's tough getting them to go for the whole deal in one shot and a stock pds will still spank em..Thanx Dave
