Torx size on '99 TXT battery tray??
Does anyone know the Torx size on the big screw that hold the front of the battery tray? I don't have one so I need to go to store to buy one, but I don't know what size to get.

Re: Torx size on '99 TXT battery tray??
BTW - I'm looking for the size of the Torx driver, not the screw size.
Thanks! |

Just in case anyone does a search and ends up here in the future, it's a T45.

A set of Torx bits? No, I ended up bringing a set home from work for one night.

Re: Torx size on '99 TXT battery tray??
One thing of interest though. I bought an aluminum replacement rack, and it doesn't have the front horizontal brackets shown in the pic above. The pic above is OEM. Instead it bolts to the main front seat support center vertical rails. So the two bolts are in shear. That's the only thing that holds up the front of the rack now. So if these bolts rust out, your batteries are on the ground. I guess I'm going stainless on these.

So how is this rack holding up since you've had it a while now?

My cart is all tucked away for the winter right now. But tray hasn't had any issues at all.
