When you pull the cover off, by the red wire, you will be able to jump from the red wire to the white one. Sorry I do not have a pic with the cover off. I think Scotty has a good pic of it apart, maybe he will post it up.

Yes I do the red wire is hooked up with the white one and doesn't seem to go to anything

You have provide a jumper just past the red one, it is an interlock, without the connection from the plug it does not work.

When you plug in your charger plug, it provides a connection with the wires inside. The short little red wire is connected with a longer one. Where that connection is to the white wire is where you need to jump to test your cart.

So just touch the end of the little red wire to where it screws in with the white one

OK the pic is of a normal reed switch, this is what you should be looking at.

Do you see in the pic where the white wire joins the red one, jump from the little red wire behind the charger port to the screw on the white wire.
