Are you looking for torque or speed or a combination?

Our local town just passed an ordinace allowing golf cart use on public roadways...so for the most part we just want to be able to go a bit faster when crusing...there is minimal off road use for this thing...

I am new as well; but from my understanding a controller adds torque. If you want speed its a motor rebuild and tires.

This depends upon your drive system. The first thing to do is identify your type of drive system. This is something you should do before the purchase. A Series drive system is best suited for off road and towing use.... A Sepex drive system is best for on road carts and it's less expensive to get speed out of but, not so well suited to heavy loads and off road use.

Hope this helps.

IF you do not have a run/tow switch you have a series cart.
