Re: Advice Needed For Upgrading Speed on Stock 2005 EZGO TXT
Yeah it's a pretty good distance.
Why exactly would you rather have a series cart over a PDS? |

Re: Advice Needed For Upgrading Speed on Stock 2005 EZGO TXT
From what I've gathered on this site so far, they tend to do better at slow speeds which is what I'm after. The PDS seems to be better for high speed, which from what I can tell, seems like what you are after.

Re: Advice Needed For Upgrading Speed on Stock 2005 EZGO TXT
In my very simple brain I relate it to the PDS cars think they are smart and are constantly watching speed, current and voltage. They like running full tilt because they run cooler. Slower speeds generate heat and PDS controllers do not like heat. The series carts pretty much don't care and just do what they are told. It is all a wattage = current X voltage thing. As long as you are staying on flat ground not trying to haul 2000 pounds, the PDS will do ok. If you lift, tires, wheels, etc, a controller is in your future but you would do it anyway.. This stuff is addicting.. GOT TO HAVE MORE POWER :)

EMP will build you a motor upgrade and charge alot less than D & D, and you'll only need to upgrade your cables to 4 gauge. No need for all the controller and solenoid upgrades
