Default 1997 EZ GO 36v motor running but won't move. Please help newbie!!

1997 EZ GO Textron DCS 36v. When pedal depressed, can hear motor turning but wheels don't turn. Jacked up, wheels spin, but motor still won't rotate wheels. Please help!!

So, when the cart is in the air the wheels do not spin when the motor is ? You may have a stripped brake hub. Take both rear wheels off and see if the castle nut spins but the hub does not. If the hub now spins hold the brake while pressing the gas pedal and see if a nut spins.

You won't learn if you don't ask questions ignorant or not. Stripped hubs are a common problem on EZs. That's why mine have discs If you end up having to replace the hubs and have less than 10" wheels, Ausco now makes a brake hub kit with I believe billeted hubs and slide on drums. I doubt they will strip and they are cheaper than the factory ones.
