Old Marathon Brake Pad
I been lurking on the forum for a couple months while working on an old marathon cart (probably late 70s, but there are no tags anywhere). I have not been able to find information about replacing the motor brake brake pads and am hoping someone can help.
The cart has one brake drum attached to the motor. I removed the housing with the old pad and it looks like the pad is riveted onto the housing. I attached pictures in case my description is confusing. Do I need to replace both or is there a way to just replace the pad? Anyone know where I can find the parts? Thanks for all your help! Tom |

Re: Old Marathon Brake Pad
That style brake pad is no longer available. I restored one like your cart years ago and I simply took the part you show to a brake reline shop. They fixed me up with new material installed & it was reasonably priced.
