I'm not sure what the recovery/recycle time is, but I'd guess you'd at least get every other beep, if not every one.

If I could find one that played "La Cucaracha", I might install it.
Got it. The club car is a constant supply so I need one that continuously chimes. Good to know about the EZ Go. After doing mine I'm sure a couple other friends might want to do theirs.

The OP has a PDS.

EZGO series carts have a continuous voltage (Microswitch on F/R switch) PDS and DCS beepers are pulsed by the controller. Don't know about Club Cars.

I would think if the govt. was involved there would also be something in the seat to shock the genitals of those who are hearing impaired. Actually at age 62 that sounds better than the banshee buzzer.

I have foam ear plugs. Is the buzzer easy for an old fat man to get to?

In my search I came across this:

Agreed...on both accounts
How does an electric golf cart idle?

It doesn't idle, but it can sit with the key on and in gear. Lawyers don't know how to explain that, so they use the word "idle".

It's attached to the left side of the passenger glove box in a PDS. You can get to it by removing the Key switch - F/R switch panel.

Warning: Do not read following before having your morning coffee.

I'm not a lawyer, but before I retired, I maintained, or caused to be maintained, medical equipment; And both plaintiff and defense tend to include all medical devices within sight from the epicenter of the incident in the lawsuit, so I am fairly familiar with limited aspects of Tort (Malpractice, Negligence, etc) laws of the several states in which practiced Clinical Engineering.

That said, I won't, without written authorization from the manufacturer, or the legal equivalent, disable a safety device, but the audible level of the reverse beeper is distracting to me while driving, creating a potentially unsafe situation for me and the public in general, so I'll tone it down to a more comfortable level, those being the actions of a reasonable person when confronted with the given conditions and limited options.

Bottom line: Disable it and even Cousin Vinnie will probably loose the case. Just tone it down and he has a fighting chance.

Thanks for the info. I will be changing the key switch and panel soon so will have a look while I am in there.

How about the long yellow lettered instruction label at the bottom of the dash. Is that a stick on that will come up with a little heat?

I love warning labels. One of my favorites is on the loop type cloth pull down towel dispensers in rest rooms that warns people not to stick your head in the loop.
