. . . looks like the entire accelerator rod assembly is missing . . . it is an adjustable rod that connects the two ball studs together . . . it is probably a 5 piece assembly including a connector on each end, rod and locknuts . . . should be able to get one at local CC dealer or one of the site sponsors may have it . . .

What is the best way to test those micro switches?

I think I am going to test all solenoids today as well

Is this the correct linkage for the throttle pedal?

. . . nope . . . that is for the pedal . . .

here is a link to an accelerator rod, item #4839 on the page:

Accelerator Rod Assembly - item 4839

If you look at item #4841, you will see what is on each end . . it is spring loaded and will "clamp" on the ball studs at their smallest diameter to capture and hold on to them . . .

. . . your biggest problem is finding one for your 1982. . . maybe CC dealer or dealer "bone yard". . . this will at least give you an idea of what it looks like . . .

Thanks guys. I ended up pulling a part from a "bone-yard" then had to take it to a machine shop to cut it down to size. Tried it out today and looks like it will work. Took a while but we got there.
