Re: Where to buy Pot 5k-0 48v
while we are on the subject...can anyone identify what this is?
A pot or a v-glide? The inside of this device looks just like a V-glide. 8 contact pads, and a wiper arm. My cart is a 2000 DS Power Drive Plus Regen. My F/R switch does not switch high current. I need to know if I can replace this with an MCOR using the conversion kit? I am chasing an erratic throttle after upgrading to a DCX-500. thanks |

Re: Where to buy Pot 5k-0 48v
OK thanks. So it is a V-glide that is just acting as a pot. It is not switching high current, so the question is can I replace it with an MCOR using the conversion kit available?

I have an MCOR conversion kit I bought and never used still in the package, I will get it out tonight and post or send you pictures. If it is determined it will work for you, I will sell for half of what new is( I think I paid around $225).

Take the cover off the V glide and determine if the internal micro switch is working and inspect the high current contacts for damage.

Re: Where to buy Pot 5k-0 48v
just double checking....according to the instructions for the MCOR conversion kit it says it is for pre-1996 carts that have a multi-step pot with black connector. It does not mention it being compatible with a year 2000 cart with a V-glide.
Are you guys still positive this is compatible with my cart? ..just trying to avoid buying a kit that will not work with my Club Car. thanks |
