Re: Quick Battery Q
I bolted 1 piece of angle to the back side of the original battery tray and another to the frame rail, I'm sure someone mite have a better way of doing this but I didn't want to pay to have it welded in and this has held up fine for me, also with the trimming I did on the body I can remove the rear batteries if I remove the 2 middle batteries without having to take the body off

Re: Quick Battery Q
It took a couple times to get it rite the first time the batts sat to high n the body was almost on them so I had to lower the aluminum angle at the frame by using a nut as a spacer between the angle n frame that I bolted too I will try to get better pics when I get home

Re: Quick Battery Q
Waverider - I bought this used last year. The cavity is larger than the cut out. I have not pulled any batterys yet so I am not sure what kind of framing is underneath the batts. I can try to get a better pic if you like, maybe from underneath. I can tell you it is TIGHT in there. I can barely fit my hand in there to test the voltage.
I have it back on the charger today and will try wait a full 24hrs before using or testing. It will be difficult not to use it tonight as the boss (2yr old daughter) has gotten pretty use to the evening rides! She doesnt really care about the voltage levels. |

Re: Quick Battery Q
Mine are sealed AGM batts. I dont think I can check the water level, but I am pretty new to this. I am trying to monitor the batts now so that I can make a better decision of what to replace them with when the time comes. I am not looking fwd to replacing them.
