Question Lift Kit....... HELP?

A local company wants to sell me a lift kit for my 97 DS and it does not look like the kits I see on all the sponsors pages...... Would y'all take a look at the photo and tell me what is different and is it good or bad or does not really matter? They talking to me about this 6" kit and a set of four 22-11-8 all terrains with 8" offset steel wheels for $525.00.... Again I am new with all of this so any input on this topic is HIGHLY appreciated. Thanks!

I'm no expert but that looks like a super basic lift. Seems you can get the more sophisticated A-arm lifts for about $350 from Tom at Cart Parts Plus or other online retailer.

Now if that price includes the install, it might be a better deal.

Also, if that price includes the wheels & tires...much better deal. As for the quality of the lift, I'll let the experts handle that.

It does not include install but it does include the wheels and tires. A arm Kits are for 8" aren't they?

There are A-arm kits for 4", 6", and maybe even 8" lifts.

Total price with wheels and tires is pretty good.

if you are only going with the lift for the looks and not off road .. then that lift and tire deal is great .. if you plain to go off road it will not hold up ... can you get the manufacture name ?

This Is A 6" Golf Cart Lift Kit And Will Accommodate Up-To 22"
Tires But Must Have 10" Wheels - -

Not a huge off road kind of family. Back yards and dirt roads is about the most. I asked them and they said they always use 8" no problem. And prefer it because there is more rubber and less metal which gives it a "more cushioned ride".......? Also I got them to email me the install paperwork. the 2 extra pieces that really threw me off (long bar with flat bracket on each end) is a camber kit!

Input on the kit as well as the package price? Thanks!

That's close to my set up. Backyards, dirt roads and neighborhood cruising. My tread is a little aggressive for the street. Might consider the tread/tire they are selling. Also as CTD points out, this lift is for metal dust cap CC DS, not plastic = make sure of what you have, AND requires 10" wheels, not 8" steel wheels. Verify all. This is the basic of lifts and is priced accordingly. I have 8" wheels and would do 10" wheels if starting over. Just my 2 cents. Whatever you do, don't look back and enjoy the ride!

Yes, I have metal caps. They say that they always use 8" steel..... I will ask how much to upgrade to 10". Can I ask why you would switch?
