Hi amperage DC to DC Converter

I need a 48v to 12v DC to DC converter that is capable of 40 - 50 amps of current output (12v). Anyone know of any out there that aren't too pricey? Most of the mainstream converters that I am finding can only handle up to 30 amps. I am trying to keep from adding an additional 12v battery. Thanks!

Anything wrong with two 48 to 12 volt reducers. You are not running one item that pulls that much are you.

Adding a 12v battery will be a nice "buffer" for your 12v equipment. I know, saving space, but i know of no cheap alternative to do the task you want for the price you want. Stereo + amp, right?

I am installing an amplifier that pulls about 30 amps continuous. Wasn't sure about wiring multiple converters in parallel - never tried it. I did find a 35 amp converter from Kelly Controllers for $139.00. Might give it a shot. I will post pictures of a few carts we've done with this setup once I have 7 days under my belt! Thanks for the replies!

For the price of a high aperage converter ( $139 ) , and being sure your pack is isolated from any drainig issues from accessories , use a seperate 12 volt battery , esp. If you are going to run a winch in future , best real option available for you

What about using a DC to DC converter with a 13.5v output off the main battery bank to keep an aux 12 volt battery charged? Just thinking out loud here...

Most people just use a separate heavy duty deep cycle marine battery ( I use 160 amp/ hr ) and plug it into a separate 12 volt charger when you plug your
Cart charger in wether that be a 36 or 48 volt charger

That has been discussed on here before; I can't seem to find the thread right now, but it was determined that this won't work because the reducer won't have enough power to properly charge the 12v battery...

This is the right way to do it if you have an auxiliary 12v battery...
