Default Help with transporter 6 lift kits

Okay guys I need advice please. I have a 2001 club car DS transporter 6 electric and I would like to install a long travel but still have brakes on all four wheels. Recommendations on tire sizes and thoughts on more torque. I'm not looking for speed because this is only for off road

Any thoughts would be great!!

Im pretty sure you wont be able to keep your front brakes with any lift. 6" lifts will clear 23-24" tires and will require at least a 10" in diameter wheel. Long travel lifts I think will clear 27" tires at highest adjustment.
For more torque you'll need a larger amperage speed controller or a controller/motor package which will include hd forward reverse switch, hd solenoid and heavy 2ga battery cables. Check with scottyb or any of the other site sponsors.

Take the front wheel brake spindles off and replace them with regular DS spindles.

Thanks for the info. So by replacing the spindles I still won't have front brakes? I'm concerned because it is heavier then my regular ds 2 seater.

While looking around last night I came across a Jakes Lifts #7057 and it said "http://www.jakesliftkits.com/liftkit/jakes-lt-lift-kit-club-car-ds-w-mech-brake-mounts/7057"

I was going to call them and discuss it with them. Anybody ever heard of or tried one of these??

Thanks
