Default Club Car 48v vs Yamaha 48v purchase

I'm not sure what I'm expecting for my answer since I'm posting in the Club Car section...

Anywho I was hoping that you gents could give me an insight into a comparison. Mine is different than others in a certain way.

On one hand I can get a 2009 Club Car 48v from a dealer. Completely refreshed and with brand new Trojan Batteries installed with a 1 yr warranty on the cart. $3000 out the door

On the other hand another dealer has a 2014 Yamaha with original batteries that been checked out and refreshed. $2680.09 after price with tax and delivery.

The Club Car is a local dealer that will deliver to me for FREE. The Yamaha dealer is some distance but goes the first 60 mi for FREE. After that I'm paying $2.50 a mile for 35 miles.

With the information presented to you. What route would you go?

Thanks for your help in my decision!

Thanks for the quick reply Golferdave!

In the back of my mind, I keep thinking about a guy selling his 2000.5 model Club Car DS. In great shape for the age. Little nicks and scratches here and there. Overall in good working order. Comes with batteries that are 4 yo. Kept up according to him. Anyhow, he's selling cart and charger for $1500. Even if I had to purchase new batteries it seems like a better deal. What are your thoughts?

I may have a biased opinion, but as you said, what can you expect from the Club Car page.

I have a 2006 Club Car DS and a 2014 CC Precedent. I still love the look and feel of the older DS, and I actually like the way it drives better.
Both have a 4" lift Kit installed. The DS has 23" off road tires and the Precedent has 21" street tires

The precedent is a nice car also, and of course much newer.

I would vote for the DS. But I would also watch local CraigsList and eBay for a couple weeks and see what else you can find for Club Cars.

As for Yamaha and EZGO, I can't comment I know nothing about them.

IMO go for the $1500...a set of batteries $800 your at $2300....free up $700 for your own personalized customization...IE..seat kit, Lift kit, bigger tires, MP3, You might even be able to knock a little off the $1500.

I'm with you... however no big deal. He won't budge from the $1500. Probably because it's worth it. I've seen plenty of pictures before meeting and it's worth his asking price.

On the 2000.5 DS, unless it is a Series cart stay away from it. The early Regen models were full of problems and hard to upgrade.

If it is a Series drive, how are You planing in using it? The Sepex drive system is a lot more practical to customize for street use.

I would go for the yamaha. You should have 2 more years on the batteries if he took care of them. And it's not that old. You can't go wrong with a yamaha

I'm planning on using it to putt around the neighborhood on the street. Maybe you can tell from pics. I'll upload some. Set to meet him today around 4:30. He's about 1 hr 20 mins from me.

Is this a series Sergio? I'm not sure if you can tell from pictures? I have one of the batteries. I'll attached that one as well...
