Oh ok...

It's possible he knows someone with a programmer. It is not so difficult to go fast. It is a bit more difficult to bring up the power without risking damage to the controller.

If it were me, I would go with a regular RXV and convert it to lithium myself. I'm not fond of the way the BMS is integrated to the controller in the Elite. Being from a flatland area, you would avoid the major issue with the Elite. Lithium pack overcharge from Regen with a full charge. I have seen a few Elite controller overvolts in excess of 96V when the BMS opened the solenoid during regen, exposing the controller to damaging high voltage.

Bob,
Thanks for the response.Im trying to keep it as simple as possible with as little/simple for me mods as possible to meet my goal of 30++mph

Is it possible to change the controller on the lithium model to avoid the major issue you have mentioned?

I'm not sure what is involved (cost and time) with doing the conversion.Im sure I would be capable but i would not have the time commintment.Do you know of someone in my area that would perform this conversation.

Im at a crossroads to stick with standard battery or lithium?

27 is achievable with stock 8" rims/18" tires. So bigger street wheels will get a little over 30 fairly easily. Not a mod you can make yourself, have to know the right people to talk to. Bob "might" be one of those people. This is with the stock controller, no new controller needed.

I have no trouble speeding up the Elite RXVs. I was just referring to the expense of a new Elite vs buying a used RXV and doing a lithium conversion on it. I'm not too impressed with the issues that E-Z-GO created for owners in certain geographical areas (mountains) with a poor implementation of BMS and controller interface. They could have done a much better job, considering the investment being made by purchasers.
