Default boke needs txt axle removal help

hey guys, this is boke, I'm at my buds shop working on my busted rear end. We got everything down, axle assy. on the bench, but trying to figure how the axle itself comes out. Are there any clips that we're missing? Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, boke

oh yeah, the diff is busted in like 6 different pieces

never mind we got it seems that the axles were a little stubborn but came out. I assume they been in there since 98, the year the gcart was built.

ok, check this out....at the top of the diff where the motor mounts there is a set of gears that looks like there is freeze plugs that hold then in, behind them are bearings....how do those gears come out? This is a spicer rear end btw. The rear end my bud has, those gears are almost toothless and we need to replace with mine. Can't figure out how to get them out though.

The manual says to run a tech screw (self tapper) into the center of the freeze plug and pull the plug out with the screw.... I have done this and welded up the screw hole to reuse the plugs

Your axles were hard to come because they were in a bind with all those housing breaks everything has shifted a bit. Better put extra oil and STP oil treatment in that gear box when you get it together.

Thumbs up Re: boke needs txt axle removal help

Scottb,
from his post I don't think any amount of oil is going back into that housing!

PS remind me never to let your buddy drive my carts!
