Default potentiometer specs?

Hey guys, got a 91 marathon on that runs up until right after half throttle. then it dies and falls on its face. Looking for specs on the potentiometer? It starts at zero then ohms out to 11.17 on the controller side, then the other side ohms out to 7.11.. Any idea on the specs? Or ideas on why it doesn't run full speed?

Thanks!!
Cameron

I set my Multimeter to 20K ( ohms ) and it measures those numbers. Except I posted wrong and it does NOT zero out on the controller side. But it DOES zero out on the switch side.

Thanks

Remove the leads from the control and plug your test leads into the connectors. If you get 0-5k its good

Guess I should have said that it is removed from the cart. Bench tested,on the controller side of the pot. it reads, 4.33 to 11.17..
