Default Bed help.

Have a bed with gate. Didn't have hardware for closing when I got it. Had mounting holes. Can someone tell me where or what I should be looking for to fix it. Here is a pic of holes that are already there. Thanks.

One option would be a lock latch, the kind that either uses a padlock, which can use a pin instead of a lock, or the kind on screen doors. Bolt patterns may not line up, but could be drilled and cut to fit. A hinge could also be attached to the bed door, with some kind of screw eye attached to the bed side, and a slot cut in the hinge for the screw eyes to fit into. Screw eye could either rotate to lock it, or a pin could be inserted.

If you are wanting threads in those holes. Threadserts or nutserts will work. It is like a pop rivet with threads inside.

Also, the hood latches on old hot rods could be used. A piece of plate metal could go from the two holed side to the single hole. A pin would be installed in the single hole, and they come with a tethered locking clip.

If the bed door doesn't lift, you may have to install the pins pointed back, and not up.
