Default 1987 Club Car DS Clutch

Hello,

New to the forum. I'm trying to find information on how to troubleshoot and repair a clutch on a 1987 DS Club Car. The problem I have is that the drive belt seems to stay engaged at any engine speed. i.e. when you touch the gas pedal the cart jerks and acts like it is stuck in high gear from the start. I understand how the centrifugal clutch works, but need help in diagnosing this problem. Is it possible that I have a spring broken inside the clutch housing that is not allowing the clutch to disengage when the engine slows/stops? I think the bolt holding the drive clutch on is left-hand threads. I don't see a puller bolt on any sites for a 1987 model. If it's left-hand thread, it will be difficult to find a bolt to fabricate one on my own. Any info would be appreciated.

The clutch retaining bolt is different to the clutch removal bolt. The retaining bolt screws into the crankshaft and locks the clutch in place, the removal bolt screws into the clutch and presses the clutch away from the crankshaft.

Ok, that makes sense. So any idea on the size, thread pitch, and length on this puller bolt?
