Governor Cable
Looking at my Cart, noticed the Cable is Rigged Currently. Looks like the plastic clips are broke, and they used Zip Ties to Hold it in place.
Want to replace/ fix this cable, Looking at the Info Provided to me (Illustrated Parts List & Repair & Rebuild Manual) looks like this is actually the Governor Cable ?? Part No 102336001 cost about $12-15. Looks pretty easy to replace !! Forgive my ignorance, I am trying to learn the cart and what is what. I originally thought it was the accelerator cable. but looks like the acc cable goes from pedal to the transaxle to a linkage/ lever then the governor cable goes from trans to carb. |

Re: Governor Cable
Hey Bear, is your cable fairly taunt after install? I noticed my gov cable is sloppy on both ends where the boots are and was wondering if that is how yours was before you replaced it? Or was yours broke?

Re: Governor Cable
taunt NO
there is play and slack in the cable. considering you can not control that the way they are made, snap into the brackets. guess i could tweak the brackets some, but have to make sure the cable fully extends and can fully travel. main thing it they move and work smoothly. i put them side by side bout same length and all (old vs new) |

Re: Governor Cable
got a question for other club car owners out there
does this look correct or is there too MUCH slack in the Governor Cable ?? press accelerator, it pulls accelerator cable & governor arm, then starts to pull governor cable after clack is pulled Are these brackets correct or are they BENT out of shape ?? |
