Does anyone know why I would not have a tow switch? I am sure there is a reason...

I believe these are SepEx motors in these carts and need to have a run/tow switch. Maybe the ignition switch doubles as a run/tow switch, I don't see a reason why it couldn't. Is there any reference to it in the owner's manual? Do you have a wiring diagram? Can you post it?

I have a diagram but I will have to scan it at work. I called the company and they said if it is 36 volt it does not have a switch but the 48 volt do. I was just curious why that was. I did open it up today. The manual does reference the switch but it is kind of slim/universal for both 36 volt and 48 volt.

It has a Curtis 1243 controller and an Advanced Motors DE4-4011 motor.

Nice cart, great color. Needs some personality, but you'll get it there.

As for the Run/Tow switch, does the cart pick up speed on a long downgrade or does the motor restrict the downhill speed?

I have the Star 48 - I don't know anything about the 36 volt. The tow switch for the 48 volt is under the front seat near the controller. Good luck with the cart.
