want fire after warm

1998 gas club car runs good for 3 to 4 miles then cuts out and quits firing. replaced spark plug and disconnected ground wire on rpm limiter. going to put on a new coil. know anything i should try before a coil or is a coil next step.

I say if it wants fire, give it fire.

Actually, a coil that fails after it warms up is pretty common, poor a gallon of cold water over it and see if the cart runs again.
