Default Need new volt meter.

I need a new meter for my G8E. I am back and forth between the analog and the led. I think the analog would be a better gauge to see whats happening but I like how you can switch the led's off with the ignition. Any suggestions or info on the 2? I know its a preference thing but just curious to what others think.

You can switch the analog with the key if that's what you want.

How do you go about it? I never checked the voltage at the ignition, is it 36 volts to it? If so would it be as accurate as directly to the batteries?

Also when you hit the pedal u can see the analog meter drop and rise again when you let off. Does the led meter continually drop down lights and up again?

No, those led bar meters are, for lack of a better word, junk.
When you say LED I immediately think of a digital read out in 10ths, like the one in my signature below. It will show draw and then come back up when the load is removed.
And yes the key has 36v to it, so switching off one leg of the meter is simple.
