Re: 2008 EZGO RXV Won't Move
No, they did not come up because I only select to read new posts. I read your other thread with the photos and I responded to it. It's the new style motor speed encoder, so buy a new one and replace it. It's not worth risking damage to your motor or controller due to intermittent signals that can result from operating with a damaged encoder. Faulty signals can cause a controller to glitch and lock up in an unpredictable state that can cause damage. The RXVs is a drive by wire cart. It relies upon the controller for everything during normal operation. When locked up, a controller can ignore other inputs, brakes included. I totalled my 2012 RXV due to a throttle encoder signal error that caused my controller to lock up in a wide open throttle state. The tree that stopped me did not give a darn that the controller wanted to keep on moving

Re: 2008 EZGO RXV Won't Move
I need help with a 2008 RVX I'm working on this for our church. The Danaher controller was bad. Volt meter read 0 and when key was on brake lights would be on. One of the battery ground wires causes a very hot arc when touched to the battery. The controller was sent out and confirmed bad. I have replaced it with a Navitas 600 my meter now reads full charge but I have the same issue with the hound wire. It has a very hot arc when you touch it to the battery even with the key off. This wire runs over to the DC to DC converter and other areas. Can anyone help.

Re: 2008 EZGO RXV Won't Move
I had same problem with 2009 RXV....I removed plug from brake socket...voltage ok...then checked continuity of brake coil...Ok...put plug back in...I accidentaly brushed against the wiring at the plug...heard 'Click"....the plug was not making contact with the brake connections...removed plug...pushed contacts in a bit ...all OK for months now
