Default F/Richard switch boiling hot

98 Ezgo series rebuilt F/R switch was replaced during rebuild with a hd F/R switch and getting extremely hot, to point of failure. Bought a hd F/R switch on feabay. All connections are good and tight, so what are my options to remedy my problem.

Basically everybody is selling the same replacement F&R switch for Ezgo. The F&R so called "HD" switches are not so HD. We offer a truly HD switch which holds up under 90% of the abusive applications out there. It costs a few dollars more but, we have paired it with 700 amp controllers and High torque motors with no problems. This is a good option.
Additionally - you can go past the rotary F&R switch to the electromagnetic reversing contactors in heavy and super duty models. We provide kits with switches and custom mount brackets. This is the best option

Also if you are melting switches and cable ends with switch after switch, there may be something wrong with the set up or the application that warrants investigation.

After twice replacing my F\R switch with HD (real HD) switches, because I use my cart for hunting, and I will drive it slooooowly around Southwestern Pa., where hills are hills and mountains are mountains (yes.....there are true mountains here....the only other place that has steeper one's are West Virginia) I installed a set of Scotty B's Super Duty reversing contactors.....and have never looked back. Best thing ever invented since.....maybe toilet paper.
